ESH Group partners with leading UK Welfare to Work provider to become global force in employment services, training and recruitment
Employment Services Holdings Group Pty Ltd (ESH Group), Australia’s largest private provider in the Federal Government’s employment services Job Network, has joined forces with one of the UK’s leading private providers of Welfare to Work programs, Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG).
The partnership brings together two well established, high performing organisations to become one of the world’s leading providers of Welfare to Work, training and recruitment services.
PPDG becomes the fourth company to join the ESH Group, which was established early last year to bring together three other Australian recruitment and employment services businesses, IPA, IPC Employment and PVS Workfind. The PPDG management team will become shareholders in the ESH Group and will continue to head up the UK operation.
PPDG is recognised as a market leader in employment and training services in the UK market, and has a strong track record of helping highly disadvantaged, long term unemployed job seekers back into sustainable employment.
ESH Group Chief Executive and Managing Director Dr Prins Ralston said, “The addition of PPDG to the ESH Group gives us a competitive strength in terms of operational scale and global capability. It is a key step in our strategy to become a leading global employment, training and recruitment company.
“As a member of the ESH Group, PPDG provides strong synergies with our Australian businesses in terms of high quality service delivery, experienced management team and strong performance.
“Our increased geographic reach also enhances our capacity to service our recruitment clients and source a greater quantity of international candidates. Access to a global talent pool will significantly strengthen our ability to meet our clients’ recruitment needs, particularly in a tight labour market,” he said.
Ralston also commented PPDG’s proven expertise in pre-employment training programs provided a strong fit with the Group’s employment services and recruitment capability and supports the policy direction of the Australian Government.
“This partnership also provides tremendous opportunities for the ESH Group to capitalise on PPDG’s experience of operating in a market that is culturally diverse, socially inclusive and focused on community regeneration – characteristics which reflect what Australia is now experiencing.
“PPDG is at the forefront of integrated service delivery of Welfare to Work programs in the UK. This partnership will enable the ESH Group to apply these proven delivery models in the Australian employment and training services market.
“Our combined strength and experience means we are exceptionally well placed to provide a new generation of integrated employment, training and recruitment services that deliver sustainable employment outcomes for Australia’s most disadvantaged job seekers,” Ralston said.
